Mish Mash Challenge Day 4: Nail Art Technique I've Never Tried

Happy Mish Mash Day everyone! I'm excited to show you today's mani, which uses a nail art technique that I've never tried before: stamping! I had a small stamping set that was an "as seen on tv" things that I got from Target or somewhere like that for pretty cheap. Sadly the quality is not the best, but it works well enough, I suppose. It was a little tricky to get the image to transfer completely to the nail, which shows in my pictures, but for my first go at stamping I am pleased.

This is what the plate looks like. I used the image in the middle of the plate.

I started out with two coats of China Glaze's Dance Baby, which is a pretty bubblegum pink. It is super smooth, creamy, and easily builds to full opacity.

I then took OPI's The Color Of Minnie, a shimmery red, and used it as my stamping color. While I did get better with each nail, I am still in need of lots of practice! I'll have to get some better plates and hopefully that will help!

Thanks for stopping by!

Fudge Friday: Daisies

Woo hoo, Friday finally came!!!! That means it's time for another Fudge Friday! The silly kitty wasn't being very cooperative today when it came to taking pictures; he knocked over every polish I set out, but finally he picked one and let me take a picture!

Of course he had to start to play with the bottle to make his choice obvious, he even went as far as chewing the bottle. What a goober! Fudge chose Essence's Oh My Glitter! which is a stunning lavendar-ish purple with pink micro glitters that reflect purple and blue. I absolutely love this purple and it's one of my all time favorites!

Since I wanted to have something more than a simple swatch for you today I decided to add daisies on my fingers using Essie's Peach Daiquiri and Finger Paints' Master Muse

These daisies were very easy to do! Just grab your medium sized dotting tool and make 5 dots in a circle and then take the dotting tool and dip it in a contrast color to make the center dot. Voila, you have daisies! Super duper easy, right!?!

We're so glad you stopped by!

Mish Mash Challenge Day 3: Metallic Manicure

Happy Mish Mash Wednesday, everyone! I'm excited to be back today with my Metallic Mani. I will try and have my Make It Up Monday sometime this week; I've been battling a migraine, so hopefully that will be up before next week's Make It Up Monday. I can't believe that we're already on week 3 of the Mish Mash Challenge; it seems like we just started this challenge yesterday!! Let's get down to the nitty gritty: the mani!

For my base I used three thin coats of Wet 'n Wild's Precious Petals, a truly metallic polish! Look at all that sparkle in the bottle! Isn't it gorgeous?! Application was a bit tricky, but nothing that a steady hand and a top coat couldn't fix.

I was going to add Francesca's Pixie Dust to my ring finger as an accent nail for a bit of extra sparkle, but I loved it so much I had to add it to all of my fingers!

Look at the texture that two thin coats of Pixie Dust adds!!! Sigh, I'm in love! It's also super cool that you look at the glitter from one angle and it appears to be silver but from another angle it looks pink!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!
